Lovis Corinth (1858-1925) the highly important German artist, impressionist and expressionist. This lithograph is of 1921/1922, Die Markgrafin von Bayreuth – Countess of Bayreuth – signed in pencil by the artist.
He studied in Konigsberg, Munich, and then Paris, where he was a pupil of Bougereau and Robert-Fleury. In 1892 he joined the Berlin Sezession.
