Bejot szybko opuścił pracownię i wyszedł by z natury komponować swe prace.

Eugene Béjot was born in Paris and studied at the Academie Julian with Jules Lefebvre and Benjamin Constant. He began etching in 1891, under the tutelage of Andre Ibels and was most influenced by the master etchers of his time, Buhot and Bracquemond. Bejot soon began working directly from nature when composing prints. Through Félix Buhot, he met sir Francis Seymour Haden who helped him, during his stay in England, win admission to the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers. In 1912 he was made a Chevalier of the Légion d’Honneur. He is most famous for his series of etchings Arrondissements de Paris. All important international museum print collections include his works.
