Fine quality Yongzheng Dynasty porcelain cargo on Chinese Junk bound for Batavia – Jakarta, in about 1725. She sunk after a fire, and remained undiscovered off the coast of Ca Mau, Vietnam, until 1998. In 2007, having recovered the cargo and selected pieces for Vietnamese museums, the government sent the remainder to auction at Sotheby’s in Amsterdam. After a delay of 280 years the cargo could complete its journey to final destination
