Friedrich Moritz Wendler (1814 – 1872)
był malarzem scen rodzajowych. Urodzony w Dreźnie i tam też zmarł. W 1828 rozpoczął naukę w Akademii Drezdeńskiej. W 1838 wyjeżdża do Monachium. Podróżując po Bawarii i Tyrolu maluje życie małych miasteczek i wsi. W 1841 powraca do Drezna. Na wielu wystawach pokazuje pejzaże i sceny rodzajowe z Saksonii a także wraca do tematów Tyrolu. Jego obrazy znajdują uznanie i licznych nabywców/min: Drezdeńskie Towarzystwo Sztuki i król Saksonii oraz kolekcjonerzy – Sigismund/. Zajmuje się też rysunkiem i grafiką w różnych technikach dla wydawnictw. Literatura pozostawiła wiele informacji o Wendler’ze. Są to duże opracowania ze zbiorowych wystaw jak i szczegółowe zapisy z różnych kolekcji, opracowania w formie katalogów oraz informacje z prasy fachowej min. F.v.Boettlicher, Malerwerke des 19.Jahrh.II/2 1901.
Friedrich Moritz Wendler (1814 – 1872)
Genre painter, was born in Dresden on February 18, 1814 and attended the Art academy, but then turned to Munich, where he joined the direction of Cornelius. Later he went on to genre painting and moved back to Dresden, where he used to feed the academic art exhibitions with his paintings. The Dresden Gallery paintings belonging a crashed Gemsenjägers that crashed, has been delivered to the Alterthumsverein in Grimma in J. 1902nd W. died in Dresden on 16 October 1872nd.
Genremaler, wurde zu Dresden am 18. Februar 1814 geboren und besuchte die dortige Kunstakademie, wandte sich aber dann nach München, wo er sich der Richtung des Cornelius anschloß. Später ging er zur Genremalerei über und siedelte wieder nach Dresden über, wo er die akademischen Kunstausstellungen mit seinen Bildern zu beschicken pflegte. Das der Dresdener Galerie gehörige Gemälde eines verunglückten Gemsenjägers, der abgestürzt ist, ist im J. 1902 an den Alterthumsverein in Grimma abgegeben worden. W. starb in Dresden am 16. October 1872.
